Η μήνυση του Nick Sandmann κατά της Washington Post προχωρά αφού ο δικαστής ακύρωσε την απόφαση

It’s being reported that Federal Judge William O. Bertelsman has had a change of heart and has reversed his decision to dismiss the lawsuit that Covington High student, Nick Sandmann, filed against the Washington Post.

A quick snippet of the news was shared via a tweet from trial lawyer Todd V. McMurty, who noted that with the reversal of the decision on Sandmann versus the Washington Post – which will now move into discovery – it bodes well for the other lawsuits Sandmann filed against NBC, CNN, and other celebrities.

This comes after the judge initially dismissed the case back in July, citing that the Washington Post was merely reporting on misinformation provided by Nathan Phillips, who was simply sharing his opinion, and that journalistic malfeasance had not taken place. However, between that time and now, the judge had a change of heart.

Όπως επισημάνθηκε από Νέα Ζωντανής Ιστοσελίδας, this could also have dire consequences for a number of other outlets and celebrities who not only harassed but also encouraged death threats against the high school boys who turned out to be innocent in the matter, writing…

“As various media figures either tried to keep the original narrative alive or refused to unequivocally retract or apologize for their initial claims, attorneys representing the students have filed defamation suits against numerous other media outlets and public figures, including CNN, NBC Universal, Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren, the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman, comedian Kathy Griffin, ABC News’s Matthew Dowd, Princeton University’s Kevin Kruse, left-wing activist Shaun King, and Rewire editor-in-chief Jodi Jacobson.”

If the discovery phase reveals that the Washington Post deliberately maintained their narrative even in the face of new evidence coming to light (either during or before they published the initial coverage) it could look really bad for the publication. Also, the fact that they opted to interview Nathan Phillips but not get the full story behind the Covington kids would also open up a whole other line of queries.

We’ll see whether or not this will change things moving forward for Nick Sandmann, and if justice will finally be served against the corrupt mainstream media.
