Το Dishonored 2 Free Trial Hopes To Boster Sales

Arkane Studios and Bethesda Softworks released a free trial for the supernatural stealth game, ακάλυπτων 2. The free trial features three missions from the campaign mode that players can dive into as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano.

The free trial is available right now over on the κατάστημα με ατμό.

Jason from Bethesda also rolled out a quick 34 second teaser trailer on the σελίδα της κοινότητας Steam to help entice gamers to pick up a digital copy of the trial. Did I happen to mention that they mentioned that it was free? Because yeah… they really wanted you to know that it’s free.

So long as you hit the minimum requirements, you can grab the free trial right now.

In addition to this, they’re also selling the game marked down at 50% off the normal price. This means you can pick up a digital copy for only $29.99 instead of $59.99. Whatever progress you make during the trial can also be carried over into the full game if you decide to make the purchase.

The free trial is likely a way to lure PC gamers into picking up a copy since the game’s sales have basically stalled. According to κατάσκοπος ατμού they’ve only moved 546,302 copies from November 11th, 2016 to April 7th, 2017. It’s a far cry from the 3 million units moved for the original Ακάλυπτες στον υπολογιστή.

For a bit of perspective, Nier: Πολυβόλα has managed to move 220,000 copies at the $59.99 price point over the course of three weeks. So Platinum Games and Square Enix did half the amount of Dishonored 2's sales on PC in a fraction of the time that the game has been available for purchase.

I suppose it goes to show that just throwing in a female character into your game doesn’t guarantee sales, opposite of what SJWs have said in the past. In reality, you really need to have a solid, well made game to back it up.

Στην περίπτωση των ακάλυπτων 2, the game launched with a lot of flaws on PC and a lot of issues that prevented PC gamers from enjoying the stealth-action title. Now that the free trial is available, PC gamers can play-test the game for themselves and see if it’s worth the $59.99… or in this case, the $29.99 price tag.
