In recent news, GSC Game World has announced STALKER 2 on social media. The announcement also leads to a new website that shows the date 2021. Besides the number and moniker, nothing else has been announced yet.

Right out of nowhere, GSC Game World studio head, Sergiy Grygorovych, came forth on Facebook and announced that the company is developing STALKER 2. The post says nothing more about the upcoming sequel or game, but you can read it over right here if you want to.

Moreover, no platforms have been announced yet either, which means that we’ll have to wait and see if STALKER 2 will be playable on PC, PS4, Xbox One or if it will release exclusively for PC. However, I’m sure in due time we’ll learn more about STALKER 2 and the platform(s) it will be playable on.

Speaking of uncertainty, a lot of people believe that the number or date 2021 on the Ιστοσελίδα του teaser is some special hint, while other people believe that it’s the date when STALKER 2 will release. Ultimately, we will more than likely learn more about the second game straight from the horse’s mouth sometime soon.

As for the game engine, nothing has surfaced yet. There’s no telling if the devs will be rocking an updated X-Ray 1.6 (after S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat’s X-Ray 1.5) or if the devs will be powering STALKER 2 on something else entirely.

The last mystery worth bringing up is, will GSC Game World be the publisher of this game or will there be someone else helping the team?

This latest entry in the first-person shooter survival horror series follows on the heels of previous titles in the series, which consists of STALKER: Σκιά του Τσερνομπίλ (2007) STALKER: Clear Sky (2008), και STALKER: Κλήση του Pripyat (2009 / 2010).
