Η Activision θέλει να δημιουργήσει περισσότερα Remasters υπαρχόντων IP

Are you ready for old or recent IPs to resurface? More Specifically, Activision IPs? Whether you’re for or against this action, Robert Kostich noted during the company’s latest quarter report that intellectual properties in Activision’s library will be explored moving forward.

Μετά το Crash N.Sane Trilogy managed to move over 10 million copies, Activision sees a bright future in re-visiting older IPs in its catalog of games. This idea or notion was elaborated on in investor.activision.com.

Σύμφωνα με την ιστοσελίδα gamingbolt.com, we learn that Activision’s games from the past have a high chance of coming back either through remakes or remasters. It’s unclear which of the two will be prominent in the foreseeable future, but the plan is surely underway.

The website cites Activision President, Robert Kostich, acknowledging the success of the remakes/remasters by saying that more of them are coming:

“When you look at our IP library, we think there’s a lot of IP in there that fans are going to want to experience again, so on that one, I’d say stay tuned for some future announcements.

But just beyond pure remasters there are also a lot of opportunities now to innovate and think about totally new content within these IPs, so as we think about it, there’s a lot of growth opportunities for the business over time within Activision based on our library of IP and frankly more broadly across the company which collectively has a tonne of great IP.”

I’m not sure what’s next on Activision’s plate to receive the remake or remaster treatment, but the head of the company is confident that fans will like whatever it is the publisher is gearing up to make.

The last two games by Activision to receive such treatment are Crash N.Sane Trilogy (2017), και Spyro Reigned Trilogy (2018). In the meantime, we can only speculate what is to come. With that said, what do you think Activision will release next?
