Οι λογαριασμοί Nintendo Switch παραβιάστηκαν, η Nintendo συμβουλεύει την επαλήθευση σε 2 βήματα

The online network for the Nintendo Switch has been hacked apparently, with userdata being in the hands of the hackers. Various reports indicate that users are informing Nintendo that unauthorized access to their accounts have been attempted, which has resulted in Nintendo suggesting that people change their passwords and enable two-step verification.

Σύμφωνα με Nintendo ζωής, over the weekend some users reported that despite having a unique password on their account someone had accessed their Switch account. In one case the hacker lifted $100 of their Fortnite cash stealing away into the night.

On April 21st, 2020, Nintendo sent a statement to VideoGameChronicles, indicating that they are aware of reports of unauthorized access to Nintendo Switch accounts and suggested people change their password and activate two-step authentication…

“We are aware of reports of unauthorized access to some Nintendo Accounts and we are investigating the situation. In the meantime, we recommend that users enable two-step verification for their Nintendo Account as instructed here.

“If any users become aware of unauthorized activity, we encourage them to take the steps outlined at https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Nintendo-Account/Nintendo-Account-Recovery-Process-1658054.html or visit https://support.nintendo.com for general support.”

Additionally, you can check to see if your account has been accessed by any other device other than your PC, mobile phone, or Switch by going to your Nintendo Account dashboard located on the official Nintendo.com website, and checking the account settings to see which devices have accessed the account in the last 30 days. If you see a device in there you don’t recognize, you can force logout anyone who is logged into your account, and then change your password or enable two-step authentication.

Unfortunately we don’t know exactly when the hack took place and Nintendo hasn’t divulged those details yet. It’s also unclear if another database with usernames and password was accessed and some of them shared the same data with Nintendo accounts. For now we just have to wait until Nintendo issues a proper statement on what actually happened.
