The latest open world game to explore feudal Japan comes Sucker Punch’s Φάντασμα Τσουζίμα, which is a game that sees Japan battling the Mongol Empire. The PS4 game is currently in development and has no release date.
One of the more exciting games during Sony Paris Game Week 2017 comes an upcoming action-adventure title that is published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and developed by the ones behind inFAMOUS.
That’s right, developer Sucker Punch announced Φάντασμα του Τσουσίμα for PS4 during the PlayStation Media Showcase, and following the announcement comes an overview of the game:
«Το έτος είναι 1274. Οι πολεμιστές Σαμουράι είναι οι θρυλικοί υπερασπιστές της Ιαπωνίας – μέχρι που η τρομακτική Μογγολική Αυτοκρατορία εισβάλλει στο νησί Τσουσίμα, προκαλώντας καταστροφές και κατακτώντας τον τοπικό πληθυσμό. Ως ένας από τους τελευταίους επιζώντες σαμουράι, σηκώνεστε από τις στάχτες για να αντεπιτεθείτε. Όμως, οι αξιότιμες τακτικές δεν θα σας οδηγήσουν στη νίκη. Πρέπει να προχωρήσετε πέρα από τις παραδόσεις των Σαμουράι για να σφυρηλατήσετε έναν νέο τρόπο μάχης –τον τρόπο του Φαντάσματος– καθώς διεξάγετε έναν αντισυμβατικό πόλεμο για την ελευθερία της Ιαπωνίας».
The title is said to have no “way-points” and will let players explore a vast land of Tsushima during the time when the Mongol Empire invaded said land. I’m not sure how much you will be able to do in this game, but I do know from the devs that it will center around action and stealth elements.
