My.com announced that the Battle Royale survival mode for Crytek’s first-person shooter, Warface, is now live. The new mode comes with all new camo for players to apply to their characters, new items, and new weapons.

In the press release, My.com notes that the update for the free-to-play shooter only supports up to 16 players in the Battle Royale survival mode, where it’s a battle until the last man is standing.

The 16-player limit is definitely a step back from what gamers might be accustomed to from games like Οι παίκτες του Battlegrounds του γνωστού παίκτη or Fortnite, both of which support up to 100 players running around in large sandbox environments where they attempt to survive against a number of other players while the time runs out and the battle zone begins to shrink.

Anyway, the game sports 70 different weapons, customization and quick matches that last for just under five minutes, as demonstrated in a video below via YouTube outlet ZeroLife.

During the mode there will be loot drops that fall from the sky, allowing players to acquire better gear and improved weapons.

The slightly larger-than-usual map that was specifically designed for the mode will have an invisible barrier that constantly shrinks as the battle wears on, just until a single survivor is crowned as the last man standing.

The developers also took some time to re-balance the game’s weapons and stats, and make some performance improvements along the way.

I doubt the Battle Royale mode for Crytek and My.com’s Warface will go down all that well, but you can’t really complain when more is better… right? The mode managed to earn Bluehole 20 million in sales, and attract more than 20 million players to Fortnite, so expect more clones in the coming months.
