Brazilian development studio Vox Game Studio is working on a 2D, side-scrolling platformer themed around the animal with an attitude motif. The game is scheduled to release in the third quarter of 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
The game is about a mysterious asteroid crash landing onto the planet, turning the wildlife into crazy enemies and enraged beasts. As is typical with most media these days coming out of the indie community, Kaze is obviously a female rabbit who has to save the day.
It’s weird, but I can’t think of a recent newly announced game from Brazilian indie devs where you were able to play as a male.
Anyway, in order to fight against the evil that’s encroaching upon Kaze’s home, the adventurous bunny must collect the ancient Wild Masks to unlock new abilities and skills in order to stop the spread of evil.

The sprite work is exceptionally well polished. The animations are smooth and the hand-drawn frame transitions are a rare sight to see when so many studios rely on Flash-style sprite work.
In order to separate itself from the old-school titles like Jazz Jackrabbit and other platformers like Aero The Acrobat, you can use the masks to transform into various ancient creatures to help aid you during your travels, such as a flying mask to get through an aerial stage, or a shark mask to swim under water.
The game has bonus levels, bosses, timed-based stages, wall-hopping and reflex-themed platforming. The game actually looks visually competent, but I just can’t help but think about Μικρές Περιπέτειες Toon seeing the blue bunny running around the colorful stages.
Unlike its most nearest competitor, ελευθερία Planet from Galaxy Trails, the gameplay pace in Kaze και τις άγριες μάσκες is way slower. It has a more methodical, Super Mario World pace to it as opposed to the lightning fast gameplay present in games like Sonic The Hedgehog.
