Ε εσύ! Μπορείτε να ανασυγκροτήσετε το Youropa;

You’re You, a Youropean resident in the country of Youropa and before you even begin to wonder what real-world country that alludes to, you’re told that it is no more.

The game and its trailer for that matter begin with the city’s fragmentation, now overrun by a very ΜΠΑΜΠΟΥΛΑΣ ΑΕ. set of goons called The Onesiders – tall, beefy and possibly of the humanoid disposition, these suffer from short-term memories, need a regular coat of paint to stay alive and are possibly the products of an accidental step in the process of evolution.

One that’s merged head with torso.

Before you start chuckling at their plight however, I must warn you that you are one too. An evolutionary accident, I mean. Except that you’re shorter, more capable/agile than them and have suction cups for feet.

Which might sound like a bummer at first, except that it allows for a few gravity-defying feats à la scaling inhumane heights, climbing up walls, ceilings, Eiffel-tower like structures, that sort of thing. All while the very distinct possibility of falling to your death looms.

The entire excuse for this abstraction being that with no surviving memory of its own, You must piece together the pieces of the now-floating city and its life in general, solving environmental puzzles/riddles and engaging in logical warfare against The Onesiders.

Όχι μόνο είναι Youropa’s platformed level meant to challenge perception, but the team of frecle exhorts that they’ve all been created using an Xbox One controller. To prove that you can too, the level editor will be made available alongside the game to allow mixing/mashing of props, paint and verdure to create your own challenge within the city.

Taking customization, a step further and applying it to the paint-based feeding habits of its characters, Youropa also features a character-paint shop for near limitless graffiti. The game seems to be as old as Steam Greenlight, which may have fooled a few enthusiasts into deeming the project ‘dead’.

Whatever the cause of delay, it does look far sharper than it did then and is now coming soon with beta-testing ongoing.
