Ukrainian developer Creoteam (not to be confused with the Croation developer Croteam) announced that Ποδόσφαιρο, τακτική και δόξα is set to launch on Steam for PC starting June 1st next month. The sports management game allows you to create your characters, modify your own team, and partake in turn-based bouts on the pitch.
Unlike other sports management games out there, you don’t just focus on playing the accounting game by scouring through endless stats and working tirelessly to stack your team with the best staff possible. You’ll also have to take to the pitch and actually play through each game of soccer using turns.
Andrey Kostyushko, the managing director at Creoteam, explained what the gore gist behind Ποδόσφαιρο, τακτική και δόξα was all about, mentioning in the press release that…
“Skipping the boring parts of football management games – the endless tables, numbers, routine and micromanagement, Football, Tactics & Glory, reinvents the basics of the football management genre making it appealing to everyone, not just hardcore football management aficionados.”

There’s a complete campaign mode where you’ll buy and train players, upgrade your team and attempt to win the regional championships.
Actual gameplay consists of making three moves per turn, but you can raise the amount of moves per turn by using a combo system that will enable you to take advantage of team dynamics.
All of the strategies change change even more as you take into the account the offensive and defensive capabilities of the players, and measure that against the game’s weather system, where rain, snow, and hot weather can play a pretty big part in how well your team performs, and how well you can adapt them to leverage their performance during harsh weather conditions.
