Το Vigilance Dev Update κάνει προεπισκόπηση ολογραμμάτων Cyberpunk, πτήσης και πειρατείας

Επαγρύπνηση is an upcoming cyberpunk bounty-hunting action game being built on the Unreal Engine 4. It’s best described as a mix between Δρομέας λεπίδων and Human Head Studios’ original vision for Prey 2. The developer, Nas Nakarus, recently updated the community with a preview of some of the features being implemented into the third-person action game.

A work-in-progress demonstration was rolled out on February 3rd, 2020 showcasing some of the cool holographic advertisements lining the dark alleyways and neon-lit streets of the futuristic city. You can check it out below.

The short clip gives you an idea of what the city streets will look like, lined with overt advertisements everywhere and lots of folk walking and mucking about their business as you attempt to track down your bounties.

The ads really help bring the world to life and give the game a sense of grounded realism, much like walking down 42nd Street in New York or the streets adorned with bright lights and flashing billboards throughout the Shinjuku precinct in Tokyo, Japan.

There’s an admixture of different cultures and influences that help bring Επαγρύπνηση'μικρό night life to life.

Αλλά δεν σταματά εκεί.

Nakarus also introduced gamers to some physically based rendering streets mimicking the style and theme of Ridley Scott’s original Δρομέας λεπίδων.

The wet city streets emulating blurred reflections of the environment help bounce around the neon lights from the sky to the ground and back again, all while hover trams and flying cars make their way around the crowded urban jungle.

You can see a collection of some of the more recent updates for Επαγρύπνηση via a minute-and-a-half long video trailer that highlights some of the game’s features, including being able to hack robot sentries to do your bidding, and taking slow flights through the dense concrete maze to track down your target.

I’m liking everything I’m seeing so far from Επαγρύπνηση. Yes, it’s still a work-in-progress. Yes, some of the mechanics are still kind of clunky and there’s a great deal of polish needed to add layers of finesse to the functionality, but overall it’s headed in the right direction, much more so than CD Projekt Red’s κυβερνοπάνκ 2077, which for the life of me I can’t seem to find anything actually cyberpunk about the game. It’s basically degeneracy incarnate without any of the cool or inviting vibes that cyberpunk is supposed to have. But I digress.
