Insane Code and Enso’s Overdrive της δεκαετίας του '80 is making its debut on the Nintendo Switch starting May 7th. It features classic hand-painted pixel graphics, multiple cars, track motifs, and even a track editor to help maintain high amounts of replayability.

Overdrive της δεκαετίας του '80 is due to be made available on the Nintendo eShop starting May 7th as a digital download.

The game features six different vehicles to race as well as incremental upgrades for the speed, handling, and damage.

You’ll race across a variety of tracks set across eight different thematic scenarios. You can get a look at the game’s features and gameplay mechanics with the near two-minute trailer below.

Another big highlight of the game is that it features 18 different songs of the synthwave variety provided by a variety of artists in the retrowave space, such as Wolf and Raven, Vocoderion, and Vector Wolf.

The game reminds me of a cross between Lamborghini: American Challenge με μια εξόρμηση της Ξεπερνώ και Lotus: Turbo Challenge. The added mix of being able to create your own tracks using a few sliders and features should help add a healthy mix of replay value to the game.

If you enjoyed new-age retro racing games like PM Studios’ Horizon Chase Turbo then you’ll probably take a liking to Overdrive της δεκαετίας του '80.

I do wish that the game had a few more vehicles to select from and maybe a bit more distinction the track layouts, maybe offering something a little more varied from what Horizon Chase Turbo has, but if you wanted something that felt a bit more retro and made in the style of a 16-bit era title than PM Studios’ game, then I guess Overdrive της δεκαετίας του '80 would probably be more up your alley.
